As a sales director, you will play a crucial role in the development and growth of our company’s international reach.

Your main responsibilities will include the following :

  • Create, plan, and implement the sales strategy;
  • Identify and address distribution channels and key markets;
  • Create and present comprehensive business proposals;
  • Have a good understanding of the market we are navigating in;
  • Develop partnerships and build and maintain relationships with decision-makers;
  • Identify opportunities with current and potential clients;
  • Develop and implement tracking tools. Optimize the CRM and adapt it as needed;
  • Coordinate the flow of information, including referrals, orders, contracts, etc.;
  • Ensure sales volume targets are met by setting appropriate prices and margins;
  • Participate in contract negotiations;
  • Own the sales processes;
  • Build a sales team with the goal of becoming a North American leader in smart water management within a 3 to 5-year horizon;
  • Provide training, mentor, motivate, and improve the skills of your direct and indirect reports;
  • Encourage and ensure knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration;
  • Ensure a healthy work environment, value autonomy, and develop your team’s skills.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications and skills :

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field;
  • Have a thorough understanding of different sales models, distribution channels, and B2B and B2G sales;
  • Possess 10 years of sales experience, including 3 years in team management;
  • Have at least 5 years of international sales experience;
  • Have sales experience in the IoT, automation, or electronics fields;
  • Experience in the water and wastewater sector is an asset;
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to create, organize, and innovate;
  • Act in a structured, methodical, and orderly manner;
  • Be able to adapt to both people and situations;
  • Have knowledge of the Internet of Things (IoT) and IT in general;
  • Correctly perceive a situation, analyze it from different angles, reach relevant conclusions, and take appropriate actions;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrate professionalism, autonomy, and a developed political acumen;
  • Be proficient in both French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Have an excellent knowledge of various computer tools and software.
